Baby Shower Gift Idea Home Search DLTK's Crafts for Kids Baby Shower Gift Idea This fun idea is from www.gratefulbaby.com Diaper Cake Recipe To make you will need: 40-50 newborn diapers (or more depending on how big you want the cake) 2 baby bottles 2 receiving blankets 2 cloth diapers or burp rags 1 large package of various sized rubber bands ribbon to tie around the cake and hide the rubber bands Small baby items to decorate the cake Start by wrapping a diaper, opened lengthwise (but not with the tabs fanned out) around one of the baby bottles. Wrap another diaper around and so on, securing with a rubber band whenever necessary. When you have the desired width for the bottom layer, begin a new layer on top of it, making it slightly smaller than the bottom. Do this again with the top two layers, wrapping around the 2nd bottle. When finished it should look like a four tier wedding cake. Wrap the receiving blankets around the bottom two layers and the cloth diapers or burp rags around the top two. Secure again with a rubber band. Use the ribbon to tie around each layer, hiding the rubber bands. Stick the various baby items inside the ribbon to decorate. Then, add a topper such as a small toy. You may need more or less diapers depending on what size you want the cake. Diaper Cake Poem 1 Heres a cake for your special day, Because the stork is on her way. Its filled with lots of things for you, On the outside and inside, too. Place them in your diaper bag, So all the necessities you will have. For the big day soon will come, When you can show off your little one! MORE poems for your Diaper Cakes here: http://www.gratefulbaby.com/baby-gifts

Birthday Present Birthday Present At A Glance Author Gabrielle When A year ago Artist Scott Studio Milano body Piercing Location Milwaukie Well, there I was, a 13 year old wanting a navel piercing. Typical, right? So one day I looked it up, just out of boredom. And I soon found out more about them, standard gauges, jewlery website, all on piercing website. I suddenly became fascinated with piercing (not on myself...just in general) and learned alot. So, I decided that I was going to go for a navel piercing for a present to myself to starting high school/finishing middle school. My mother insisted that I get my nose pierced and I said no. I know, isnt it a little strange...it's usually the other way around. Anyway I didn't ask my dad because I knew that he'd say no because he doesnt even understand why people put holes in their bodies when he spent his entire life trying to keep them out. So I ask my mother and she says "Yeah okay whatever I dont care, its your body, do what you want." So school is about to start and she suddenly has to look into it and is indescisive. Finally she says yes and I decide to lose a little weight so that my stomach will be more attractive and then go for it. Yeah well that fell through anyway...but whatever. I postponed the piercing to my birthday (September 28th) and picked a few piercing places and called them up asking about the procedure. Some places you had to be 15 so I couldn't go there. I really wanted to go to a place called the Catalyst in downtown Vancouver, Washington but the piercer was out of town when I wanted to get it done. I settled on Milano Body Piercing and told my mother. She again was not sure and had to research it and all of that crap, which I had already done. So she finally agreed. She couldn't take me on the 28th because my stepdad had the car, so we did it the 29th afterschool. She picked me up from school and we drove to my dad's house and I dropped off some stuff. She pretended like she forgot about her and then rolled her eyes but drove me to Milano none the less. I wasnt really nervous and wanted the piercing, and was ready for any amount of pain at all. We find the place with directions from MapQuest and walk in. The place is empty and there is a girl in her twenties behind a glass counter. I say that I'd like a navel piercing and we sign forms and I pick out a stanless steel banana bell with 2 crystal gems. Being half black half white I liked the look it had on my caramel skin and picked it way before hand. The guy came out and nodded and slapped the girl at the register's butt which was a little...strange but I ignored it. Anyway the guy took me into a room like a little dentist and had me sit down. He market it and layed me back and I objected and stood up to make sure it was straight. He then lifted it up right way, and put on the clamp. I was a little creeped out about how fast he did and asked if I was nervous. I said no and looked at the ceiling. The clamp did not hurt. He put on gloves sterilized the area an (well actually he did this before) and then pierced me. The pain felt like a pinch and didnt hurt! I thought "That's it...?" Then I felt a tug and another tug and then looked down and my jewlery was in place. He then sprayed it with a product called H20cean and I was good to go. It took about a min. and a half, very fast! I went out and payed and was very pleased. I also bought the same sea salt spray and payed and was on my way. I had always had trouble with my ears. I was extremely worried that the piercing would keloid or migrate out if I lost some weight (I was just curvy). I got home and cleaned the piercing with anti-bacterial hand soap and sprayed it. It stung a little but after a while it was fine. Months went by and it was still healing. Around december I noticed that the bottom was getting darker and looked like a keloid was forming. I flipped out. I had also run out of H2Ocean so was using regular sea salt soaks and the shot glass cut around my bellybutton so I had a half moon scar next to it. I bought more H20cean and cleaned it. The bump at the bottom went away but then came back. I got irritated again and then started to religiously clean it even though it looked 80% healed, twice a day, sea salt sprays 5 times a day as recommended on the spray can. Low and behold the keloid completely dissapeared and now my navel is pretty much healed. Around my birthday it will be healed, which means it took it around 1 year. Its strange because I usually heal really quickly except with piercings. Anyway, H20cean was a God sent and my navel is good to go! What a great birthday present. Amazon.com Sales Rank: #897 in DVD Click here for more technical details about this edition... Editorial Reviews Amazon.com Nothing? Seinfeld is a show about everything! It's about the appeal of the posse and coma etiquette. It's about importing and exporting. It's about sneaking a peek, and seeing the baby. It's about this, that, and the other. TV Guide ranked Seinfeld the best TV series of all time. It has become the master of its syndication domain. Its most devoted fans can quote each episode chapter and verse; their absorption of each scene's minutiae anything but a trivial pursuit. With such fervent devotion to the show, and demand for its DVD release, series creators Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David could have easily just OK'd a bare-bones set containing nothing but the episodes. Not that there would have been anything wrong with that, but instead, the creative team came together to create extensive and encyclopedic features that make this four-disc set buy-worthy. The candid and revealing audio commentaries and interviews, deleted scenes and original episode promos, and optional "Notes About Nothing" pop-ups are as irresistible as a Drake's coffee cake. It's always fun and instructive to return to the humble beginnings of a series that became a pop culture benchmark. Here are Kramer's first not-so-grand entrance, Jerry's first contemptuous "Hello, Newman," and Elaine's first "Get Out!" shove. But what is most revelatory about the episodes from the first two seasons is what Jason Alexander, during his commentary for the episode "The Revenge," calls a "sweet quality" that somehow redeems these characters' more base instincts. The third season's--for want of a better word--the charm. The show has found its misanthropic voice (by season's end, a fed-up Elaine tells herself, "I gotta get some new friends"), the ensemble has a firmer grasp of their characters, and the writers rise to the occasion with episodes that have entered the Seinfeld pantheon, including the Seinfeld equivalent of a Very Special Episode, "The Boyfriend," with Keith Hernandez and the J.F.K. parody, "The Library," featuring Philip Baker Hall channeling Jack Webb as library bookhound Bookman, "The Pez Dispenser," and "The Keys," with an L.A.-bound Kramer winding up on Murphy Brown . Michael Richards, especially, comes into his own this season as Kramer. The first two seasons built up the mystique of this "man-child"/"parasite." So while he was absent in season 2's now-classic "The Chinese Restaurant" (in which Jerry, George, and Elaine wait in vain for a table), he is now out and about with the close-knit, albeit dysfunctional, trio. Julia Louis-Dreyfus has some of her giddiest golden moments, zonked on painkillers in "The Pen," or, as a bored party guest in "The Stranded," telling an obnoxious bride-to-be that "Maybe the dingo ate your baby." And don't get us started on Jason Alexander as George, series co-creator Larry David's neurotic and angst-ridden alter-ego. To paraphrase what Julia Roberts said of Denzel Washington, we don't want to live in a world where Alexander doesn't have an Emmy. The "Inside Look" episode intros offer fascinating insights into this singular show that subverted sitcom convention. We learn that even the most outrageous episodes, such as "The Pez Dispenser," were inspired by real-life events. Especially telling is Alexander's observation that Jerry never really socialized with the other ensemble members. This has extended to the commentaries: Seinfeld pairs with David on some episodes, while Alexander, Richards, and Dreyfus team up on others. They are gracious to the guest stars and extras, and mostly mum on Jer. All of this, of course, is yadda yadda yadda to Seinfeld fans, whose patience for the show's DVD debut has been amply rewarded. As Elaine screams in the third-season episode, "The Subway," "It's not nothing, it's something!" --Donald Liebenson Description Seinfeld Giftset (includes Seasons 1-3, Limited Edition Script, Monk's Salt & Pepper Shakers, Playing Cards) Spotlight Reviews (What's this?) Re-Gift set worth it! , November 27, 2004 Reviewer: Schtinky "Schtinky" (California)- See all my reviews I've noticed that for once both the Product Details sections and the Editorial Review cover the features of this DVD set very well, mentioning all the episdoes and extras, leaving my review free to be short and less boring. If you are a Seinfeld aficionado like I am, get the ReGift set. The script is nice and bound like a book, complete with handwritten notes by Larry David. There are extras on each DVD, all eight CD's from seasons 1,2, and 3. The salt and pepper shakers are great, and complete with a miniature napkin holder too. The playing cards are fun (and useable), with a picture of Kramer on the Joker, Jerry on the Kings, Elaine on the Queens, and George on the Jacks. Season 1 and 2 come in one box, and season 3 in a separate box, each with an separate episode guide inside. This is a very nice set and worth spending the money on. After all that, well, Seinfeld is Seinfeld. Now you can enjoy all the classic episodes we all love without those commercials inbetween from all the taping we use to do on TV. The DVD's offer the option of "Play All" or selecting individual episodes, a feature I really like in program sets. In particular, I really liked the extra called "Kenny to Cosmo" where a picture of the real Kenny Kramer is shown, an old neighbor of Larry David from a long time ago, and the resemblance is striking. Larry David even got the original Kramer to participate in the interveiws on this piece. Great extra. Seinfeld is still one of the funniest shows available, although I watch little to no television, Seinfeld and even its reruns is one of my exceptions. The DVD set is a must for any Seinfeld fan, and a great starter for anyone who is interested in getting deeper into this cult classic. Enjoy! Was this review helpful to you? If you already own the first three seasons and just want the playing cards, script, Monk's diner ketchup and mustard bottles salt and pepper shakers than this may be a great alternative than doubling up on the DVDs you already have. I found that although these bonuses aren't of the greatest quality they are a nice bonus and you can use the box they come in to store all the seasons released so far in as they all fit nicely with room left over. In the gift box set or on its own either the 4th season or the 1st, 2nd and 3rd seasons of Seinfeld are a must own on DVD. Was this review helpful to you? Save your money and buy the DVDs individually , June 27, 2005 Reviewer: Andrew Parodi (Gervais, Oregon United States)- See all my reviews Please note: I am giving a 1-star rating to the overall "Seinfeld Limited Edition Gift Set (Seasons 1-3 with Original Script, Salt & Pepper Shakers, and Playing Cards)." The episodes themselves are great 5-star affairs. I just wanted to give a heads-up to prospective buyers that this box set is a bit of a letdown. The salt and pepper shakers are miniatures that stand about three inches tall, the so-called "original script" is a cheap miniature photocopy of a script (and is hardly legible), and as for it being signed, well, think again. It is not literally signed. What you really get is a photocopy of Larry David's signature on a small and useless photocopy of a script, with photocopies of illegible scribings by David throughout the script. If you want a signed script, I'd suggest looking elsewhere for one that is literally signed in-person and has a Certificate of Authenticity. And the playing cards are small and useless as well. I know this box set is very attractive. Obviously, that's why I bought it myself. But it really is quite a disappointment once you open it up. I recommend buying the DVDs for seasons 1-3 individually. You will save about thirty bucks. Was this review helpful to you?
