In addition, Waldorf annually funds numerous Special Ability Awards. Waldorf Academic Scholarships of $2,000 up to full tuition are given to students who participate in the annual Scholarship Day. To be considered, applicants must be accepted for admission and have a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.25 (minimum ACT of 17) or an ACT Test Composite score of at least 25 (minimum ACT of 17). Waldorf Honor Scholarships of $2,000 to $5,000 per year are given to full-time students (at least 12 credits per semester) with high academic achievement and potential. To be eligible, students must rank in the top 25% of their graduating class, have an ACT Composite of at least 23 (minimum of 2.5 GPA) or have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00 (minimum ACT of 17). Special Ability Awards in Art, Athletics, Communication, Music and Drama are available for students demonstrating high achievement and potential in any of these areas. Auditions, high school records, portfolios, films and recommendations are used to select the recipients. Students who wish to apply for Special Ability Awards should request a special application form when applying for admission, in the space provided on the Application for Admission. Out of State Tuition Grants -These grants of $1,000 are awarded to students from states other than Iowa who demonstrate the same financial need as Iowa students who receive the Iowa Tuition Grant. Education Partners in Covenant (EPIC) is a cooperative venture between congregations of the three Iowa ELCA synods. Congregations elect to support students with grants of $100 to $500 per student and colleges match the grants. Students must be confirmed members of the congregation and the congregation must be enrolled in the program and have their level of participation determined by March 1 prior to the student's year of attendance. Foreign Student Grants -These grants are awarded to International students based on financial need. Dollars for Scholars Matching Funds -Awarded to students who receive local chapter scholarships. The college must be notified by August 15 prior to the student's period of enrollment in order to receive the matching funds. Maximum match is $500.
