Bequest in a will or living trust - To provide for Teachers College through your will, living trust or charitable remainder trust, you will need Teachers College's tax identification number, legal name and mailing address. Please call David Stiles at (212) 678-3037 to obtain this information. Charitable gift annuity - When you make a gift of stock or cash to fund a Teachers College Gift Annuity, you receive a tax deduction that can be spread over 5 years after the year of the gift and payments for life of up to 11.3% based on your age. Life Insurance Policy - You may name Teachers College as beneficiary of a policy you no longer need, or you may create a new policy. Retirement accounts or U.S. savings bonds - By naming Teachers College as the beneficiary of your IRA or savings bonds, income taxes are avoided and the value of the gift qualifies as an estate tax deduction. Charitable remainder trusts - Charitable remainder trusts provide a means to receive an immediate income tax deduction, income for life, and a meaningful gift to charity at death or at the end of the term of the trust.
