I don't understand them, but I do love them.And frankly, I'm always relieved by friends that accept "themed gifts" -- justmakes life a whole lot easier. For many who cherish the memories and value the lifelong lessons learned at Goucher, a planned gift is a means of honoring the past by investing in the future. A gift need not require a substantial outlay of capital to make a significant difference to the college, but it does require vision and commitment on the part of the donor.
